Different Roles
Stand in awe of the beauty and mystery of the Triune God!

In this next video, we explore a beautiful truth: There are no differences in deity, equality, or attributes between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — yet each Person carries out distinct roles within the unity of the Godhead.
The Father initiates, the Son joyfully obeys and acts, and the Holy Spirit brings it all to fulfillment. This is not hierarchy, but rather perfect cooperation and mutual love within the triune being of God.
“Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” (1 Corinthians 8:6)
“For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.” (John 6:38)
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth… whatever he hears he will speak… He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:13–14)
Together, they work in perfect unity, never in conflict or in confusion, always in love. This is not just a theological concept… this is our God!
How does this transform us?
The unity and diversity within the being of God is a beautiful picture of the unity and diversity of the Church, which has “many members” all with different gifts, callings, and roles but “one body” with one spiritual life and purpose.
Study 1 Corinthians 12 (if possible, with a fellow brother or sister in Christ). What does this chapter reveal about the unity and diversity of the Church?
Then, meditate on 1 Corinthians 13.
As God prompts you, confess and repent:
Have you been esteeming those who are like you more than those who are not?
Have you been promoting those with more impressive gifts, while neglecting those with small gifts?
Have you been promoting division in the Body based on difference of gifting, social status, ethnicity, etc.?
Have you been acting out of pride and ignoring those you deem less than you?
Earnestly cry out to God for more love for Him, and more love for your brothers and sisters in Christ! Humble yourself and repent for any mistreatment of His precious people.
